Artist Sonja Rosing talks about her initial dislike of art as a child and finding joy in it as an adult. She discusses her profound love of nature and the knowledge she has gained from TM Founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s writings and programs. She shares some of her work to demonstrate how she incorporates quotes from the Upanishads and Maharishi’s translation of and commentary on the Bhagavad-Gita into her art.

In 1991, Sonja Rosing graduated from the Academie Minerva, a Dutch art academy in Groningen, the Netherlands. Since then, she has worked full time in the visual arts, completing thousands of works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, photography, outdoor objects, and video. Ms. Rosing spends many hours in nature, especially at sunrise, enjoying long walks, collecting materials, and creating outdoor art.
