Jon Lipman, AIA, longtime practitioner and teacher of the TM technique, discusses his career in Maharishi Vastu® architecture and how the TM and TM-Sidhi® programs support his creative process. He shares personal stories from his work, including the design of buildings at Maharishi International University, a current project for a Bhutanese refugee community in Ohio, and a Tibetan Buddhist temple with a three-dimensional mandala. He gives practical guidance from this ancient architectural system and recommendations on home orientation and sleeping positions.

Jon Lipman, AIA, is a leading US practitioner of Maharishi Vastu architecture, with a distinguished career spanning design, historic preservation, museum curation, and academia. Praised by the New York Times, he has devoted the past 29 years exclusively to Maharishi Vastu architecture, becoming one of North America’s most experienced experts in applying its principles.

Mr. Lipman has lectured widely at major universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, and Cornell, as well as at the Museum of Modern Art, the National Building Museum, and the Smithsonian. He has also spoken at national conferences and public forums, including the American Institute of Architects and programs supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

In addition to curating exhibitions for major museums, Mr. Lipman has worked on prominent historic preservation projects and served as a consulting architect for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. His award-winning work has been widely published.
