Richard Robertson and Janine Decot Robertson, currently based in Brazil, are longtime teachers of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique, TM-Sidhi® Administrators, and teachers of Advanced Techniques of the TM program. They talk about their worldwide travels and decades of experience in the global TM organizations. They also share stories of working on international projects, including with President Joaquim Chissano in Mozambique to help unify the country, as well as other projects that were especially meaningful to them.
Richard Robertson holds a master’s degree in the Science of Creative Intelligence from Maharishi European Research University in the Netherlands and has been a TM teacher since 1976 and a TM-Sidhi Administrator since 1992. Over the course of his career, he has instructed more than 8,000 people, including in Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Zambia, Uganda, Mozambique, Guyana, and Haiti.
Janine Decot Robertson, a visual artist and photographer, graduated in Visual Communication from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paolo, Brazil. Trained as a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique in 1989, she has contributed to numerous social and international TM projects in Zambia, Uganda, Mozambique, Guyana, and Brazil, and has personally instructed more than 4,000 individuals.
