Longtime practitioner of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi® programs, Edward “EdKlein shares stories from his decades as a piano technician, working with leading musicians and performers, along with reflections from his years as a chiropractor and chiropractic instructor.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Klein has tuned and repaired pianos in settings ranging from major concert halls to private homes. In his memoir, Piano Dance, he recounts varied experiences, from major orchestral performances to children’s recitals, offering a compassionate portrait of the musicians and clients he has met along the way and giving a behind-the-scenes perspective on life with the piano—both onstage and off.

Ed Klein is a registered piano technician, certified by the Piano Technicians Guild, with more than four decades of experience serving concert halls, universities, and private clients in Los Angeles and Florida.

While serving as the concert tuner at the Soraya Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, Mr. Klein worked with touring performers and ensembles, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the Scottish National Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Joshua Bell Trio, and Wynton Marsalis.
