Is the health, happiness, and success of our lives determined by DNA or by upbringing? In this conversation, Dr. Tony Nader talks with Bob Roth about the new field of epigenetics, and how transcending allows us not only to live healthier, happier lives now, but also to pass on its benefits to the next generation.

For eight evenings, March 24 through March 31, 2021, Dr. Nader joined Bob Roth’s online Group Meditation with thousands of meditators around the country on TM Connect, followed by a conversation about Dr. Nader’s new e-book One Unbounded Ocean of Consciousness: Simple Answers to the Big Questions in Life (Penguin Random House, April 1, 2021).

They talked about a new topic every night. This video, of the sixth conversation on March 29, takes up the question of “Nature vs. Nurture—or Both?” As a medical doctor, neuroscientist, and authority on the science of consciousness, Dr. Nader explains the field of epigenetics and its fundamental discoveries and import for our lives.
