Robert Brighton, author of the Avenging Angel Detective Agency™ Mysteries, is an authority on the Gilded Age and has written six novels set in that era. Brighton is an adventurer who has traveled to 56 countries, personally throwing himself into every situation his characters will face. A graduate of the Sorbonne, he is a relentless researcher who, before writing any of his historical novels, spent four years reading—cover to cover—four major newspapers from 1897–1904. Among his somewhat quixotic career choices, he has been a mule wrangler, a bison rancher, and a vintage automobile restorer. Robert lives in Virginia with his wife and their two British shorthair cats.
Christine Albers, host of TM Talks, interviewed Robert Brighton. This interview was aired on March 16, 2025.
