Karen Friedman Agnifilo, J.D., has spent the last 30 years dedicated to public service. She recently served as Chief Assistant District Attorney of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She talks about the role of TM practice in helping survivors of domestic violence, as well as in enhancing the resilience of those who support these victims of crime.
As Chief Assistant D.A., Ms. Friedman Agnifilo oversaw an office of more than 500 lawyers, 700 support staff, and approximately 80,000 cases per year. She also served for 14 years as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan, including four years as Deputy Chief of the Sex Crimes Unit. In addition, she served in the Homicide Investigation Unit and the Family Violence and Child Abuse Bureau. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, and a 1992 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.
