Claudia Mueller produces eastern Iowa’s only free monthly arts and entertainment magazine, now celebrating nearly three decades of publication. Since its founding in 1984, The Iowa Source has become a vital regional voice, reaching 16,000 print readers and an additional 12,000 online, with engaging content spanning the arts, culture, health, technology, travel, and more—including a widely used calendar of regional events.

Ms. Mueller holds a BA in English Literature from Beloit College and began her publishing career by helping her mother edit articles for a newspaper and producing grassroots newsletters for natural-food enthusiasts in the 1970s. Her search for meaningful and creative work led her to Fairfield, Iowa, where she founded The Iowa Source, combining her love of writing with a commitment to community.
