Rick Levy has been practicing the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique for over 53 years and proudly says that he has never missed a single meditation. In 1974, he became a TM Teacher, and in 1978, he completed the TM-Sidhi® program.

Mr. Levy’s musical journey began with a childhood love of music, which led to the formation of a rock band called The Limits in the 1960s. Today, he continues to live his musical dream, performing and touring with the legendary group The Box Tops. Throughout his career, the TM program has remained a steady source of inner peace and stability, helping him stay grounded as he travels the world, sharing his love of music.

Rick Levy has played a unique and multifaceted role in the entertainment industry. With over four decades as a performer, he was also the bandleader for Herman’s Hermits, featuring Peter Noone, from 2000 to 2002, and tour manager and bandleader for iconic acts such as Tommy Roe and Jay & the Techniques.

Mr. Levy has made a name for himself putting together and managing revival acts that include Herman’s Hermits, Tommy Roe, The Buckinghams, The Grass Roots, and, most notably, blue-eyed soul group The Box Tops (“The Letter,” “Cry Like a Baby”), riding the wave of nostalgia with baby boomer-targeted tours.

In recognition of his lifelong contributions to music, in 2014, he was honored with both the Pennsylvania Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award in the Music Industry and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lehigh Valley Music Awards (an affiliate of the Philadelphia Grammy Chapter).

Currently, Mr. Levy is the manager and guitarist for the legendary band The Box Tops, which was inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame in 2018. He also led the reunion and global licensing of recordings by his first Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, band, The Limits.

Beyond music, Mr. Levy is a skilled potter. His Glazed and Confused pottery studio showcases his creative talents, with his work sold both locally and nationally.
