Michael Brauer is a legendary record mixer in the music industry. He has mixed Tony Bennett’s Grammy Album of the Year, Unplugged, and has received seven Grammy Awards in a variety of music genres. They include for Coldplay’s Alternative Album of the Year, Parachutes; for John Mayer’s Best Pop Vocal Album, Continuum; for Angélique Kidjo’s Best World Music Album, Eve; and for Calle 13’s Best Latin Rock Urban Album, Multi Viral.

During his 44‑year career, Brauer has also worked with The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Paul McCartney, and Jon Bon Jovi, to name just a few.

Brauer discusses his work over the past four decades, with insights into the art and science of music mixing, and talks about the importance of the Transcendental Meditation technique in his life.
