Practical Wisdom for Meeting This Challenge
In Dr. Nader’s March 28 Facebook Live Replay ► about the pandemic, he offers insight and guidance on how to turn this challenging time into an opportunity for greater personal growth.
Take Care of Body and Mind
Dr. Nader emphasizes the importance of maintaining the health of the body and a strong immune system that can defend itself. He encourages keeping a regular routine, resting well and eating properly, and avoiding overeating and too much alcohol.
“Exercise is very important,” he adds. “Keep moving. Don’t sit too long at home—go outside safely, if you can. This is very important. The immune system needs the blood to keep circulating throughout the body, to stimulate our hormones.”
Dr. Nader also highlights the importance of the mind “in modulating the way our physiology works.” He reminds us to be regular in our TM practice, which research has shown strengthens the immune system. (See Dr. David Orme-Johnson’s article in this issue of Enjoy TM News, “Does TM Practice Strength Our Immunity?”)
“Be inward for certain periods of the day, and take part in the meditation times in your area,” Dr. Nader says.
Here are the TM schedules by time zone in the United States: for TM practitioners, and for those who also practice the advanced TM-Sidhi® program. For schedules in other countries, see the International Meditation Times at DrTonyNader.com.
In the United States, TM Connect also provides twice-daily Group Meditations and TM reminders with Bob Roth, CEO of the David Lynch Foundation, on Zoom.

Think of Solutions, and Think of Others
“Of course it is natural to think of problems in such circumstances, but when you think of problems, think also of solutions,” Dr. Nader says. “Imagine the most ideal, positive solutions to whatever situations you’re facing at home and at work.”
What about the news? “Be well-informed, from reliable and reputable news sources, but just check the news two or three times a day,” recommends Dr. Nader.
Should we try to be positive? “Be positive, yes, this is good. But think of others as well,” he adds. “This is very nourishing to the mind, and it’s very positive. Instead of being too attached to one’s own situation, which is natural, try to be also giving time to others. This is very unifying, and very strengthening.”
And don’t forget how valuable a comedy can be! “Watch happy movies that bring good feelings,” he says.

Raise Collective Consciousness
“We will overcome this pandemic, there will be no question about it,” Dr. Nader says. “Humans will come out very strong, and powerful, and they will overcome it, because we have consciousness, we have awareness. We can make the right decisions when the awareness is clear.
“Let’s create the atmosphere of clarity and strength and allow all the steps of evolution to go in the right direction for maximum fulfillment of life—not only to overcome this pandemic but all issues,” he concludes.
