Fern Mallis, international fashion and design consultant, and acclaimed designer Stella McCartney were honored with the 2018 Humanitarian Awards for “their wisdom, conviction, life experience, actions, and resolve” that “change the lives of our world family for the better.”

Two other women received the 2018 Courage Awards: multi-disciplinary artist Leybe Diaz, who “has become an extraordinary model of resilience and strength,” and the exemplary single mom and child-abuse survivor Amber Wilkerson. Both had previously received a DLF scholarship to learn the Transcendental Meditation® (TM®) technique.

Support for Women and Children

Proceeds from the second annual “Women of Vision” Luncheon and Awards will benefit the David Lynch Foundation Women’s Health Initiative, helping to bring the evidence-based TM technique to women and children survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The benefit included a live auction fundraiser.
